ITA 261 - Italian American Experience This course will explore the many connections between Italy and the Americas, from issues such as emigration and immigration, language and literature, translation, acculturation and cultural hybridization, and other cultural associations. The course will analyze influence in both directions: Italy’s influence on America and America’s influence on Italy in terms of the arts, political ideology, and social practices from the early nineteenth century to the present. The course is conducted in English. Lecture Credits: 3 Offered in Fall and Spring. Core Course
