IS 486 - Text Mining for Business Discovering insights from data can be complex - and that’s even more complicated when organizations encounter large volumes of textual data (both semi-structured and unstructured), such as call center logs, emails, social media, corporate documents/forms, and so on. This course examines the unique characteristics of text mining, an emerging field, from a business perspective. It provides a broad overview of text mining techniques and their use in various business applications. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: BUS 150 Offered When Needed
