SOW 3120 - Human Behavior and the Social Environment: Life Course

Human Behavior and the Social Environment: Life Course utilizes the bio-psychosocial perspective, which stresses a multi-dimensional view of human development and behavior. The multi-dimensional view of person in the context of the environment takes into consideration the challenges, stressors, and life tasks that occur during the life course. The individual and his/her environments are examined in their relationship to each other. The course stresses the importance of culture, race, ethnicity, gender, spirituality, and socioeconomic environment. One credit of this course is satisfied through weekly group work in which students develop their cross-cultural projects.
