OT 601 - Pediatric Frames for Promoting the Occupational Development, Performance and Participation In this course, students will explore frames of reference used by occupational therapists to assess and treat infants and young children with disabilities including frames of reference for addressing sensory integration, motor, cognitive and social participation skill development as well as frames of reference that guide the adaptation/modification of tasks and the environment for children. Students learn to choose and apply frames of reference based upon children’s occupational performance and participation needs in different practice settings including hospital, school, private practice, and community settings. Students will also learn observational, criterion referenced and standardized assessments that support the application of particular frames of reference.
