BLW 490 - Special Topics in Business Law An introduction to the law and the legal system as applied to the world of professional and amateur sports. The course invloves the study and review of a variety of legal doctrines (and their applications) to professional and amateur sports organizations, which includes the review and discussion of the rights and responsibilities of professional/amateur athletes as well as the many business opportunities that arise between a sports organization and its participating athletes such as sponsorships, licensing, endorsements and the media. Lecture 3 Credits Prerequisite: BUS 130 or BUS 140
