Major Requirements
Candidates who choose to major in childhood must pursue a concentration of 30 credits in one of the liberal arts and sciences. Six of the credits may be from a College core area. Concentrations are developed by the departments which offer them. The recommended concentrations are: biology, English, French, Italian, mathematics, social studies and Spanish. Each of the concentrations requires work in upper level courses. A list of concentrations and their requirements is available in the Education Department.
