Finance, MS (0504)

The Masters of Science in Finance is designed for those individuals who prefer focused studies related to finance rather than the broader course of study available in the MBA program.

Most students with a business background can complete the MS in Finance by taking 10 courses (30 credits) as shown in the table below. The required capstone course, FIN 710 must be taken among the last nine (9) credits of the program.

Required Courses (4) (12 credits):

FIN 610 - Operation of the Financial System Credits: 3
FIN 620 - International Financial Management Credits: 3
FIN 640 - Investment Analysis Credits: 3
FIN 675 - Corporate Financial Strategy Credits: 3

Finance Electives (5) (15 credits):

Complete five advanced courses in finance (600 level and above).

Finance MS Capstone Course (1) (3 credits):

FIN 710 - Masters Financial Leadership Project Credits: 3
Course must be taken within nine (9) credits of degree completion. Students must contact the LSB Dean’s Office for permission to enroll. Course is offered as need requires.
