MTH 270 - Applied Statistics An introductory course in applied statistics. The basic ideas of analysis of data and statistical inference are introduced. Discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distribution, confidence intervals, testing hypotheses, regression, correlation, chi-square tests, and analysis of variance. Applications drawn from economics, management sciences, and life sciences. Use of appropriate technology.
