PHL 354 - Feminist Philosophy This course surveys a broad range of concepts, themes, and debates central to feminist philosophy. We will discuss issues of identity: What does it mean to be a feminist? What does it mean to be a woman? Why do we have different - and at times competing - notions of feminism? We will also explore how our identities are shaped by other social constructions such as race, ethnicity, class, and sexual orientation. Our engagement with seminal feminist texts will help us reexamine social practices and reconstruct moral theories through feminist lenses. Lecture Credits: 3 Prerequisite: One Philosophy Core Course ICT Core Theme Centerpiece: Feminist. Offered in Fall & Spring
