A Bachelor of Science (BS) in nursing will prepare you to become a Registered Nurse that will lead you to a fulfilling professional career. You will have the opportunity to learn on state-of-the-art simulation and technology equipment that fosters the acquisition of important knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment. You will gain invaluable experiences in your clinical rotations that span the healthcare continuum and with diverse populations across the lifespan. You will collaborate with other interprofessional health science students in the classroom, simulation, and clinical settings as participants in our leading interprofessional education curriculum. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the NCLEX-RN national licensure examination and to enter the workforce as a professional nurse who is clinically competent, values excellence, thinks critically, and is morally reflective.

Goals
The Department of Nursing goals are to:
- Prepare competent nurses who are morally reflective and critical-thinking professionals that are contributing, collaborative members of the healthcare team
- Promote excellence, innovation, and creativity in teaching, scholarship, and practice
- Engage in service to the community and profession of nursing
- Generate and disseminate nursing knowledge through scholarly inquiry and research that advances nursing science
